WABChat Episode 3 – Patricia White
As lawyers and businesspeople, we believe there are experiences, lessons and ideas, applicable to the business world, to be found in many different environments. In WABChats we’ll be chatting with friends of White & Black, be they contacts, clients or advisors – tapping into their business experiences, lessons and ideas and hopefully learning from them ourselves.
In Episode 3 of WABChats, we chat to Patricia White. Patricia is the founder and CEO of the multi-award-winning charity Suited for Success. Patricia had an illustrious career at the BBC as a journalist and before that she worked in the Corporate world as an IT Trainer. She left the BBC to follow her passion in community outreach work and set-up the first Trussell Trust Foodbank in Birmingham. Since then, Patricia has been an influential voice in citywide initiatives addressing social issues impacting the city from food poverty to unemployment, and of course, has founded and continues to run Suited for Success.
Patricia tells us more about the amazing work Suited for Success is doing to help long-term unemployed people back on their feet. Plus we discuss what’s involved in making a vision a successful reality and how best to galvanise support for an idea, bringing stakeholders along for the ride!
