Shaw Gibbs and White & Black seminar at Shakespeare’s Globe

In a special morning seminar at Shakespeare’s Globe on 22 June 2016, Shaw Gibbs and White & Black will discuss the realities of buying and selling businesses.

What we’re showcasing

Accountants and corporate finance advisers Shaw Gibbs and law firm White & Black will discuss both the realities of the transaction process and the longer-term preparations that are critical to maximising value.

Our seminar is aimed at owners and directors of successful private businesses and those making significant corporate decisions. We will look at various features that are important for the health of the business and, if you reach the stage of discussing a potential sale or merger, those that are also important in the eyes of the acquirers.

  • Why buy or sell
  • What creates value (tech & non-tech impact)
  • Preparing your business for sale
  • How to sell your business (the process)
  • Potential acquirers
  • Key considerations
  • Timetable
  • Heads of terms explained

Founded by Sam Wanamaker, Shakespeare’s Globe is a unique international resource dedicated to the exploration of Shakespeare’s work and the playhouse for which he wrote, through the connected means of performance and education.  In a year where the world will commemorate 400 years since the death of William Shakespeare, the venue creates a perfect backdrop to our seminar.

Expert guides will take you on a fascinating tour of the iconic Globe Theatre, bringing the space to life with colourful stories of the 1599 Globe, of the reconstruction process in the 1990s, and of how the ‘wooden O’ works today as an imaginative and experimental theatrical space.
