We’re looking for a driven, pro-active and creative individual to join our growing team as a Marketing Assistant, based in our Oxford HQ!
2025 is an exciting year for White & Black and we’re looking to expand our Marketing Team to help facilitate all that is to come. Working with the Head of Marketing, you’ll help us grow our digital presence, further expand our brand awareness and ultimately reach more clients with White & Black’s truly unique offering. This is a brilliant opportunity for an individual with a passion for marketing who is looking for an opportunity with genuine growth and career progression. In this role, you’ll gain exposure to every element of business operations and be given autonomy and responsibility right from the start.
Full-time or Part-Time will be considered, a permanent position, in-person based in Central Oxford 5 days a week, with scope for a day a week remote working following a probationary period.

The Day-to-Day
Content Creation – you’ll work with the Head of Marketing to produce engaging and informative multi-channel content for White & Black’s digital channels including social media, website, Spotify and more. You will also support our lawyers where specific content is needed for events.
As a key client and prospective employee touchpoint, maintaining consistency in our visual identity throughout digital content is vital. This will involve getting hands on with graphic design, the firm’s extensive library of photo and video, audio editing and copy writing.
Where required, you’ll work with the Head of Marketing and other departments to develop content strategies that will support wider business activity such as events, recruitment drives and practice area marketing.
Social media – social media is a key element in building brand awareness. You will take on the day-to-day management of social media channels such as LinkedIn and Instagram – including scheduling posts, responding to audience interactions, running analytics and keeping up to date with the latest social media trends and algorithms.
Website Management – As a key client touchpoint, it’s crucial to keep our website up to date, accurate, secure and reflective of who we truly are. You’ll provide assistance in updating the website when required. This will include drafting and uploading news articles and announcements, working with our lawyers to edit and upload legal insight content and updating copy and staff pages when required.
Collateral Maintenance and Creation – We’ve got plenty of key, client facing documents that need regular attention. You’ll work with our lawyers to create and manage pitch documents, presentations, credentials sheets, onboarding packs and more. These will be predominantly digital but may involve producing some print material.
Event Support and Administration – We love events at White & Black! Whether entertaining our clients, raising money for our chosen charity Maggies or socialising with colleagues. You’ll be assisting the Head of Marketing where required with everything from designing and sending event invites to locating and booking venues.
Supportive Tasks – White & Black team members support each other and turn their hand to whatever it is that needs doing. You may, from time-to-time, be asked to assist with tasks other than those outlined above. For example, assisting the Head of Marketing with White & Black’s on-going B Corp Impact Assessment, drafting responses to award nominations, working alongside the Head of Marketing to develop community and charitable relationships and collaborations and general administrative support where needed.

Role Specific Experience
Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
The ability to communicate complex, multifaceted issues accessibly and concisely.
The ability to think creatively and ‘outside the box’.
Experience using programmes such as Adobe Suite (specifically InDesign), Canva and PowerPoint Presentation.
Experience with Website design and management software such as WordPress.
Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple work streams at one time.
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience with Photo and Video editing software such as Adobe Suite or other (desirable).
Experience using event management and fundraising systems, such as Eventbrite and JustGiving (desirable).
