Solid Solutions provides a range of 3D computer aided design software tools as well as providing training and support to over 5,000 customers and is one of the UK and Ireland’s leading resellers of Solid Works.
We helped Solid Solutions acquire the UK and Ireland’s third largest Solid Works reseller, Cadtek, and then advised on an £8m investment by the Business Growth Fund (BFG).
Solid Solutions was founded in 1998 by Alan Sampson and Simon Turner. It has an annual turnover of £30 million, employees 150 people and is based in the Midlands region of the UK.
Timing is often a critical element in a transaction and this was no exception but we worked closely with our client, the BFG and Cadtek’s advisors to synchronise all the required steps to ensure both the Cadtek acquisition and BFG investment went through smoothly and on time. The successful completion of these gives Solid Solutions the scale to accelerate its growth and expand its bespoke offering.
