Achieving further growth for General Oceans
White & Black’s top tier Corporate team, led by Partner Jonathan Williamson, recently advised long standing Norwegian client, General Oceans, on its acquisition of ocean technology specialist RS Aqua.
General Oceans is a world-leading innovator within the ocean technology sector with a growing global 2023 turnover of c£62m and has successfully completed a number of recent acquisitions in the underwater technology market including Tritech International Ltd in 2022 and Klein Marine Systems in 2023.
Atle Lohrmann, President of General Oceans, said “RS Aqua are an important acquisition for General Oceans and we couldn’t be happier they are joining the group. We believe RS Aqua will play a significant role in strengthening the position of General Oceans within the UK market, and vice versa. There are significant opportunities for collaboration and partnerships for RS Aqua within the group: something that is fundamental to General Oceans.”
Jonathan Williamson, who led the team at White & Black, commented, “It is always a pleasure to keep building our relationship with Atle and his team at General Oceans. We have worked with them on numerous occasions now and it is always a hugely positive experience, allowing us to really focus each time on how we can maximise the value we bring to the relationship and the journey of growth that General Oceans are on.”
