royal charter corporations
Companies incorporated by Royal Charter are very rare and unusual creatures in today’s modern business world. Advising them requires a very specific blend of legal skills: an ability to assimilate rapidly the implications of the company’s Charter, experience of dealing with the Pricy Council (which still retains a great deal of authority over Royal Charter companies), a detailed knowledge of English company law and history and, often, expertise in charity law.
As a firm we are proud to advise a number of Royal Charter corporations, all of which are regarded as pre-eminent in their fields. We advise on:
- corporate governance issues
- structural issues
- charity law issues
- members’ liability
