Vectair Systems Group – Intellectual Property Disputes

White & Black has acted for the Vectair Systems Group on a number of matters relating to the protection of the Group's intellectual property portfolio. Recent work includes advice on potential actions for passing off, trade mark infringement and patent infringement.

Vectair Systems is a UK based manufacturer of "away from home" innovative hygiene products in the air care, washroom, infant care and flying insect control sectors.

Established in 1988, Vectair Systems now sells to over 90 countries worldwide from its European headquarters in Basingstoke, Hampshire. In 2007, the company opened Vectair Inc. with headquarters in Memphis, USA, to service the North American market.

Isklar – Claims Against Distributor and its Administrators

The firm advised Norway based Isklar, one of the world’s leading bottled mineral water companies, on a number of claims against one of its distributors (and that distributor’s administrators), together with a tracing claim for proceeds of product sales and rights of set-off against counter claims by the administrators.

Isklar markets natural mineral water in a range of sizes and packs from an artesian source and aims to build a major global brand. Isklar is native to the Hardanger region of Norway, one of Europe’s most remote landscapes, the heart of which is the Folgefonna glacier, a six thousand year old glacier that is the ultimate source of Isklar.
