University of Salford

The University of Salford has a rich history dating back to 1896 and counts among its graduates, painter LS Lowery, comedian Peter Kay, Andy Bond, a former CEO of Asda and actors Sir Ben Kingsley and Christopher Eccleston.

The University has a strong reputation for research; the latest Government Assessment judged 83% of the University’s research as international class with 12% judged as world leading.

The University will share space at MediaCityUK with five major BBC departments and will be working with the BBC to create job opportunities for graduates and benefit business and the local community.
