What are your specialist areas?
I have over 5 years’ experience in TMT related transactions, notably tech-focused university spin-outs and commercial agreements involving digital technologies. I have also developed considerable expertise in transactions related to broadcasting, franchising and licensing.
Tell us about your experience
I started my career in the media sector where I worked for Condé Nast and Titan Publishing. In 2003 I joined Goodman Derrick LLP, the City-based law firm renowned for its technology practice, where I trained and then qualified as a solicitor into the corporate and commercial department. During this time, I worked on a number of public company takeovers and also a nine figure refinancing involving 37 group companies.
In 2007 I joined the London office of the international law firm, Taylor Wessing, where I advised hi tech clients on mergers and acquisitions, group reorganisations and transitional services arrangements.
Recent work at White & Black includes advising:
- a private equity firm on one of the largest ever projects to acquire and deploy digital projection systems across the UK and Continental Europe;
- an “evergreen” fund on a series of cleantech investments; and
- Europe’s largest photo developer on a number of strategic commercial agreements with suppliers and commercial partners.
