track record
We have a proven track record in our chosen fields.
In corporate finance, our team has significant experience of both domestic and international transactions, ranging from a transatlantic merger of two digital service-providers to the leveraged buy-out of Musto Clothing Group (according to “Unquote” magazine, this was the second most significant buy-out to arise in the London market in 2007-8).
In the field of commercial contracts, we have negotiated agreements with the likes of Google, Asda, SGS, MBNL, Pepsico, Boots and many others ranging from global supply agreements to white label agreements. White & Black recently demonstrated its commercial law expertise as the exclusive legal provider to the organiser of the inaugural Express Eventing International Cup (EEIC). White & Black advised on all legal aspects including:
- a contract for the hire of the Millennium Stadium;
- a contract with the governing body for EEIC to be accredited;
- contracts with the world’s top 20 riders;
- contracts with a number of celebrities;
- numerous sponsorship contracts;
- tv production agreements; and
- media rights including a broadcasting contract with B Sky B.
In the field of commercial litigation and dispute resolution, our lawyers handle all types of commercial disputes. Recent examples include a claim for copyright infringement in relation to a major theatrical performance and a transatlantic dispute over IPR in a medical device. Members of the team have particular experience of IT and IP related issues ranging from domain name disputes through to claims against ISPs for IP infringement in online content. One of our lawyers also advised on the disputed ownership of a major scientific text of international significance.
