how we run our business

Environment

We operate from a converted barn made of Cotswold stone, constructed in complete sympathy with its natural surroundings and set within its own landscaped gardens overlooking open countryside. The Great Barn was developed from an original Cotswold tithe barn which has been beautifully extended and has a double-height atrium entrance leading to a series of board rooms which feature beamed ceilings.

The Barn is set on the A44, Oxford Road and has extensive parking.

As part of our commitment to the environment:

  • we recycle the vast majority of our paper waste (included shredded confidential paper);
  • our supplier of bottled water, Isklar AS, operates all its facilities at low or zero rated emissions (and off-sets at 120% so that every bottle has a net positive effect on the environment);
  • we operate a Cycle to Work Scheme;
  • we are registered with the Carbon Trust and are a low emissions business;
  • we aim to be carbon neutral by the end of this year; and
  • we are members of the Legal Sector Alliance (a group of law firms acting on climate change in conjunction with The Law Society).
