Technology: our focus.

White & Black is based near Oxford, in the heart of the UK’s knowledge economy. 

Much of our work has a multi-national dimension and over a third of our work is for overseas-based clients.  Although many of our clients operate at the cutting edge of technology, we advise clients from across the industrial and commercial spectrum on corporate and technology law.

In 2009, 2010 and 2011 we were independently ranked by Chambers as one of the top 20 UK law firms for our venture capital work.

All our lawyers are experienced, specialist practitioners.  We are a niche practice advising in technology-related law, from corporate transactions and venture capital to the resolution of commercial disputes.  

We operate a lean and efficient business that is orientated to the needs of our clients.  We target our resources to maximise the quality of our advice and our client service.  We believe that traditional law firms represent poor value for money by passing on the cost of unnecessary overheads to their clients.   We have turned this model on its head.  We invest heavily in the quality of our people and our service delivery and not in bureaucracy or ivory towers.

As you would expect from a technology law firm, we harness technology to deliver market-leading advice at rates that offer superb value for money.
